I always have been trying to connect business and social impact, and Harvard Kennedy School helped me piece the puzzle together over the 3-day leadership program. PPLC also puts together the most amazing cohorts, and I was able to learn so much from my peers. How did you find out about PPLC?
Right away, I went back home and applied. What was the most enjoyable part of your PPLC experience? Learning about so many opportunities that we can leverage throughout our careers whether in politics, diplomacy, or the private sector.
I still keep the list of opportunities that was shared during PPLC. What is the thing that surprised you the most? Being a first-generation college student from a family of immigrants from the Dominican Republic, I remembered being nervous to attend the session, but right away the students at HKS made me feel welcome and safe.
I enjoyed having them there as mentors and role models. What sorts of things did you learn or experience that might have an impact on your immediate and long-term future? Because I attended this session, I know I definitely want to pursue public policy and social entrepreneurship.
I am more knowledgeable of the many ways I can bridge my passion for both entrepreneurship and social sector.
